I heard this from a friend in the basketball community but couldn't bring myself to believe it. Our womens' national team which took the trip to the Ivory Coast with so much controversy and problems did as bad as.....hmmm. This story is as written on the FIBA Afrique website.

Cote d'Ivoire dominated Ghana ( 106-24 ) during the first game of the coupled qualifiers Afrobasket Women 2011 / African Games 2011 of the Zone III.
After a slow start, the ivorians are going to reveal what was their fatal weapon during all the game, the full court press defense.
This defense is going to hamper the ghanaian a lot which struggle to align no more than two passes. The very aggressive ivorians get back balls and proceed on fastbreaks.
Ivorians make many fouls but Ghanaian do not manage to take advantage of it.
The 1st quarter ends in the score of 22 to 7 for Cote d'ivoire taken by its captain Kouyaté Mariama who finishes better scorer of the game with 20 points.
Same story in the second quarter where Cote d'ivoire intensifies its defense and makes the break.
The second half-time will be the copy of the first one.
All the efforts of Julemana R. of GHANA (12 of 24 points of her team) will be of no use and the game ends with the score without appeal of 106 to 24 for Cote d'Ivoire.
The return game will deceive on Sunday, November 07th, 2010 at 3 pm in the Forum of the University of Cocody.
