GBBA calls up women's team
Accra - The Ghana basketball association has called up a women's national team to compete in the upcoming All African games qualifying series to be held in La Cote D'Ivoire from the 1st to the 7th of November 2010. The first team of over 25 ladies, all of who play regularly in the WGBAL started to hold training sessions on the 18th of September. Practices are held twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Lebanon House court at 2pm.
The team is being coached by Kenneth Addico (CEPS), Salamatu Alhassan (GBBA) and Coach Antwi(of Police, who requested to assist the coaching staff to understudy them). Date for final selection of the team has not been given out but the coaching staff are sure they will be able to come up with a strong team that will be able to compete at the African level.

Are our women prepared 4such trip with 2days in a week training?Has a coach i don,t think so,bcos basketball as really changed so pls prepare these women physically,mentally.In basketball mentality is 90% and physically 10%.
