We were in Cape Coast this morning for what would have been Hoops Care International's first ever all girls basketball clinic. But all didn't go as planned as low turn out fueled by a bit of miscommunication between the invited schools and the organizers ruined what could have been a much better and change making day. And then came the rain too to disrupt on going activities for the few girls in attendance too. Official news that came out later in the day through HCI's e-newsletter read:
''About
15 girls showed up at the 15U girls basketball clinic this morning. The
low turnout due mostly to the poor weather condition. Drills where
given and the girls even performed a few under a light drizzle which
made the court unsafe and they had to stop. We are still glad that most
decided to try out again and showed interest in wanting to continue
playing.''
